Shipyard Oka to launch first new project dry-cargo carrier for Volga Shipping

Shipyard Oka (Navashino, the Nizhny Novgorod region) is to launch cargo river ship “Kapitan Ruzmankin”, built for Russian shipping company Volga Shipping, on November 23, 2010. It is the first dry-cargo carrier of the series of 10 vessels, constructed upon project RSD-44.

The Governor of the Primorsky Kray:``We’re redeveloping the commercial shipbuilding industry”. But the success depends on international partners as well.

Sergey Darkin does not agree with the widely-spread information about wracking the large-scale shipbuilding programme in the Primorsky Kray. He stated his view on this matter at the press-conference in Vladivostok on November, 16.

JSC Sovcomflot and JSC United Shipbuilding Corporation have agreed upon the parameters of a contract to build 5-6 Aframax class tankers of 117-120 000 tonnes deadweight each. “Delivery expected during the period 2011-2014,” PortNews Information Agency was told at Sovcomflot.
